How To Cook Clam Chowder?

It’s hard to find someone who would say No to a comfort food like Order Clam Chowder soup. This creamy soup comes filled with clams, meat of choice, and veggies. However, the version of chowder varies from one region to another. While New England Chowder would give you one taste; whereas, the Manhattan version would give you another flavor.


You can head to any restaurants in Pismo Beach and place your order for a creamy bowl of chowder soup. However, if you don’t feel like visiting the restaurant, you can prepare it at home also. All you need to do is to get hold of all necessary ingredients and start making it.


Steps.

The only challenge to prepare a clam chowder is to clean the clams. You can buy cleaned clams from stores if you want.

● Now add the clams to a pot of water, onion, and bay leaf. Cover it and bring it to boil until the shells open up

● Preserve the juice from the mollusk by using a cheesecloth or strainer.

● Cook the diced potato in a little pot until delicate. In a big pot, add carrot, leeks, garlic and butter and cook it for 5 minutes.

● Add the flour and some more butter and cook on medium high flame.

● Now just add the clams juice, fish stock, cream, milk, salicornia,  salt and potato. Blend it properly.

● Allow it to stew for 10 minutes.

● Cook the shrimps in the same pot for 5 minutes, medium high flame.

Keep in mind that clam chowder is not at all hard to make. Follow the aforementioned hacks and you will be able to get a creamy chowder just the one you get from a restaurant.
